On 13th February, 1915, the 3rd Coldstream Guards of 4 Brigade, 2nd Division, moved into trenches at Cuinchy near La Bassée where they remained until relieved on 15th February when they marched back to billets at Bethune. Francis Tyrrell was wounded on 15th February and died from his wounds on the following day. |
